Rock is one of those lovely resorts where people come back to year after year.   The area has so much to offer with beautiful beaches at Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath for surfing.  The Camel estuary is excellent for sailing and water skiing and there is a superb links golf course at St. Endoc , Rock and also another golf course at The Point, Polzeath.   There are plenty of marvellous walks along the scenic Cornish coastline and other activities include fishing, pony trekking and cycling on the Camel Trail.   Just across the estuary by a short ferry ride is the pretty fishing port of Padstow, with many marvellous restaurants including the famous Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, Bistro, Café and Fish and Chip Shop.   These are readily accessible in the evening by the water taxi which runs until after midnight.   Rock itself has several good restaurants including James Nathan's Restaurant at the St. Enodoc Hotel.  There is a pub and restaurant overlooking the estuary which are more informal and one or two local caterers who will deliver dinner to your door.   The shops in Rock are very comprehensive with a Bakers, Butchers, Fish Shop and General Store all within easy walking distance of Sumerdaes.
